Danny with Hosanna

One last picture before I am done for the night. I love seeing Danny holding this tiny little baby. He did a good job. He is plenty strong but he didn't want to hold her for long.

Doug's sister, Beth and her husband, Jon

Beth and I were best friends before Doug and I started dating and although there was a time, when Doug and I were first dating, that things were strained between us, we remain very close. She is one of the most organized people I know and she is extremely good with our kids. She comes up with great ideas for fun things to do and also ways to get the kids to do things that they don't want to do.

Doug's Parents

Doug's parents are Mel and Linda Chandler. They are currently serving at South Madison Bible Baptist Church. I have been blessed to get the best in-laws I could ever hope for.

Our Pride and Joy

Here are our two beautiful children. Danny is 5 and Kalista will turn 4 in September. They are the best of friends, although they do occasionally fight. Kali wants to do everything Danny does, including go to school. She will have to wait for that though. Danny tends to follow Kali's lead in a lot of things. This has been very good for him in many ways but occasionaly she will get him into trouble. Danny can get her into trouble, too.

My Parents

Yep! Here they are. The leaders of this pack. They love to have everyone together, even if it is crowded. Not to mention wild and crazy. Our family is growing so fast that we wont all fit pretty soon. That is why we tried to stay in a tent this last time. To try to keep the house from being too crowded.

My Family

As the youngest of four, I was usually the last to do everything. Graduate, drive, things like that. However, I was the first one married and the first one to have children. This picture was taken by Doug, my husband, this past Christmas. We have changed very little since then.

Marcus is the second child. He and his wife Elizabeth just welcomed their first born into this world. Hosanna Joy is my first niece and she is beautiful!

Ed and Tina and Melanie

Ed, is the third child. Tina and Melanie are the women in his life and we look forward to seeing what God has for them in the future! Kali is excited to have a playmate her own age!

My sister Melody and her "BOYS"

My sister is the oldest of the 4 of us. Her "boys" are Joe, Nathan and Joah. Aren't the little ones adorable?

Grandma and Grandpa Maynard

My Grandparents are 93 years old and still live alone. My mother and her brother are in the picture as well. Twice a week I go and spend about three hours with them. It wont be long before they move into my Uncle's new house.

Danny and his teacher, Miss Dana

At the age of 18 months, Danny was diagnosed with Autism. He has been able to attend school for two years now to help him overcome his developmental delays. This is his teacher, Dana. Danny loves her! Check out the Autism links on my page.

Doug's photos

If any of you are interested in seeing some of Doug's photos, check out Doug's Worth link. He is a member of a site where he particiaptes in contests. Not all of them are photography and he has entered at least one contest in each genre. This is my favorite picture he has taken so far.

The family I grew up with did not start out so large. There were 16 of us at my parents house this past weekend! We were very crowded, but we still had a great time.

Sunday night was quite an adventure. We had put the kids down for the night in a tent outside when we were hit by a thunderstorm. Both Daniel and Kali handled the storm well, but the tent leaked. We ended up rushing them back inside and sleeping in the livingroom. Doug was the only one who ended up sleeping outside.

Doug also got up early in the morning and made pancakes for the whole crew. We had Apple flapjacks and blueberry pancakes. They were delicious. Even better, I ended up with a new electric griddle in the process. I have been putting it to good use already.
